From Igor + Andre: - February 9, 2009: "Over the last couple weeks, my good friend from the other side of the world, Sophie Ward, has been blessing me with daily new Chapters from our Collaboration Siren Art Project. So I've [Roberts] been reading it over and listening to the wonderful songs my incredible friend Stacy DuPree has written for it, and my brain has been going wild!"
- October 6, 2009: "Stacy, Sophie Ward, and I [Roberts] are working together on a Collaboration Project called "The Siren Who Loved". Basically, the project is the coolest thing I have worked on by far!"
- August 7, 2008: "Stacy DuPree Sent me [Roberts] the first 5 song demos for up our coming Siren Project. Needless to say this is all I've been listening to. The songs are Brilliant! If you guys aren't familiar with the band that Stacy is in, Eisley, check them out! But yea I'm really excited. I can't wait till this project is done and you all get to hear the music ready the story and see the art. I hope I haven't given too much away."
- June 21, 2008: "The Siren Who Loved by Danny Roberts, Sophie Ward and Stacy DuPree. The Siren project is a collaborative concept begun by Roberts, based in Los Angeles. Roberts illustrations have provided the foundation of inspiration for this haunting love story about a man driven across the ocean for the hand of a deadly and yet illustrious woman. The project is built out of multiple and varied artistic contributions, all building towards a final installation which will take the spectator on the journey of the story through Roberts' choice of imagery, DuPree's audio and Ward's written word. Upon completion The Siren will be printed in its full entirety by Paper Castle Press."
For more info on The Siren Project go to The Siren Project or Paper Castle Press. To discuss the project go to the Laughing City thread.
